First, I'd like to say that I object to the default on nature of the Pentium F00F hack that has been encorperated into FreeBSD. It seems that David Greenman (who had final word on the behavior of the option) decided that it was either correct, or that the demographics are more important that proper design.
Now that's out of the way, lets see what is available:
- Patch to support the AST/4 register in the sio driver
- Bus/Device Spec that I have been working on
- First Patch to fix the problem with wrong process id coming up in mount string
- VFS Patch that changes the VFS subsystem to be run via SYSINITs completely instead of partially
